SIM & IoT Push Service (OTA)
GA
Overview
The SIM & IoT Push Service is an OTA SMSC-gateway that delivers secure over-the-air (OTA) provisioning, firmware updates and remote management to SIM cards and IoT devices. It is built on Java 25, Quarkus and micro-jainslee, using SS7 MAP, SMPP and SMS-PP to push applets, profiles and commands to field devices at carrier-grade scale.
OTA Campaign Flow
Applet CAP slicing into SMS-PP TPDUs, fleet delivery, ACK tracking and CDR generation.
Key Features
- UICC toolkit campaigns: Push CAP packages to SIM/eSIM over SMS-PP with retry and acknowledgement tracking.
- Multi-transport: SS7 MAP, SMPP and HTTPS for bank, government and IoT use cases.
- Campaign orchestration: Scheduling, targeting, delivery confirmation and CDRs.
- Retry / saga safety: Per-MSISDN single-flight, idempotent retries and fail-closed accounting.
- High availability: Active-standby redundancy for stateful SS7/SMPP sessions.
Use Cases
- Mobile operator SIM provisioning and applet updates
- Bank and government UICC applications (OTA for EMV / mobile money)
- Connected car and asset tracker fleets
- Smart meter and industrial IoT device management
- eSIM profile push and lifecycle management
Status
The SIM & IoT Push Service is generally available for carrier and enterprise deployment.
